Wednesday 27/07 – BEIS issues consultation outcome Feed in Tariffs and Contracts for Difference: proposals relating to Guarantees of Origin.
Tuesday 26/07 – BEIS Committee issues its Third Report - Energy pricing and the future of the Energy Market.
Monday 25/07 – The government publishes its Future policy framework for power with carbon capture, usage and storage (CCUS): call for evidence.
Friday 22/07 – BEIS issues the UK’s Critical Minerals Strategy in which it outlines how it aims to secure supply chains for a range of minerals that are important in the context of the country’s energy security and net zero ambitions.
Thursday 21/07 – The North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) announces that it has awarded a gas storage licence to Centrica Offshore UK Ltd (COUK) for the Rough site off the East Coast of England in the Southern North Sea.
Wednesday 20/07 – BEIS publishes its Hydrogen Sector Development Action Plan and its Expansion of hydrogen production pathways analysis: import chains.
Tuesday 19/07 – BEIS announces it has opened a £75mn Nuclear Fuel Fund designed to boost production of fuel for reactors. National Grid ESO publishes the target details for Capacity Auction for Delivery Year 2023/24 (T-1) and four year-ahead Capacity Auction for Delivery Year 2026/27 (T-4).
Monday 18/07 – The government opens its consultation on the Review of Electricity Market Arrangements (REMA). National Grid Electricity System Operator (ESO) releases its Future Energy Scenarios (FES) 2022.
Friday 15/07 – Ofgem publishes its annual report and accounts for 1 April 2021-31 March 2022. This includes individual reports covering performance, accountability, and parliamentary accountability and audit.
Thursday 14/07 – BEIS and Ofgem issue a joint consultation on the future ownership of Elexon once the Future System Operator (FSO) has been established.
Wednesday 13/07 – Ofgem publishes a decision to require 12 domestic suppliers to make improvements to their processes for setting customer direct debits.
Tuesday 12/07 – The Scottish Government outlines that it has allocated almost £3bn this financial year to help households face the cost-of-living crisis.
