Monday 29/04 – DESNZ publishes a new call for evidence seeking views on the outlook of the biomethane industry and whether costs and revenues for biomethane plants have changed over the past year.

Friday 26/04 – Ofgem publishes its decision on the three outturn performance metrics proposed as part of the Distribution System Operation incentive within its RIIO-ED2 price control Final Determinations.

Thursday 25/04 – The Aldersgate Group publishes a new report outlining its priorities for the next government in relation to climate change and the environment. Sustainability First publishes its response to DESNZ’s call for evidence on how default tariffs might evolve in the future.

Wednesday 24/04 – The Scottish Government announces it is awarding £11mn in grant funding to accelerate the decarbonisation of public sector properties.

Tuesday 23/04 – The Committee on Fuel Poverty publishes a letter written to Amanda Solloway MP, setting out several ways the government could address the issues facing over 1.1mn households which are in fuel poverty within the private rented sector.

Friday 19/04 – Ofgem publishes the data file containing the regulatory performance of network companies during the eighth and final year of the RIIO-1 price control.

Thursday 18/04 – Scottish Energy Secretary Mairi McAllan announces to the Scottish Parliament a new package of climate action measures.

Wednesday 17/04 – DESNZ announces that it has added another successful project to its list of organisations awarded funding via the Space Based Solar Power Innovation Competition.

Tuesday 16/04 – DESNZ publishes a consultation seeking views on new standards for energy smart appliances and organisations that provide demand side response services or can remotely control electrical load.

Monday 15/04 – The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) publishes its response to a letter submitted by DESNZ asking the CMA to consider carrying out a review of competition in the home heating market.

Friday 12/04 – The Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) announces that the Subsidy Advice Unit (SAU) has accepted a request from DESNZ for a report regarding the proposed subsidy to Green Volt Floating Offshore Wind Farm.

Wednesday 10/04 – Ofgem publishes correspondence relating to the new compensation rules for delays when switching suppliers.

Monday 08/04 – DESNZ publishes a consultation seeking views on proposals to support Capacity Market (CM) auction liquidity by improving the functionality of the CM emissions verification process. DESNZ issues a call for evidence on the financial and non-financial barriers which prevent the establishment, development, and scaling of community energy projects.
