The ERS platform is the operational backbone of UK electricity suppliers. Purpose-built for the complexity of the SME and industrial and commercial (I&C) electricity supply market, ERS spans the full supplier lifecycle - from prospecting and pricing through to contracting, billing, metering and industry interaction.
Unlike generic utility software, ERS is engineered specifically for UK market electricity suppliers. It is enterprise-scale, feature rich, and highly configurable, supporting complex multi-site portfolios, sophisticated tariff structures, and demanding regulatory obligations.
ERS can be delivered as a dedicated managed service on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, combining customer-specific hosting, specialist application expertise, security management, service governance and continuing platform improvement. This provides electricity suppliers with a secure and operationally resilient foundation for mission-critical supply operations.
The hosted service uses a controlled, evolving architecture. Established ERS application and Oracle database capabilities are combined with modern OCI services and newer Kubernetes-based components, allowing platform modernisation to be introduced progressively while protecting operational stability.
